Beacon Light was built in 2007 and finished to a very high specification, with all rooms having underfloor heating. Flooring is a combination of stone, porcelain tiles and oak with kelim rugs and runners. There are paintings by local artists of Hebridean scenes which give a contemporary and comfortable feel throughout. The architects were Dualchas who have won several awards for designing contemporary builds in spectacular sites on the Hebrides and the large granite and glass addition was by local architects which includes over 150 tons of granite excavated from the cliff where the extension has been built.
Beacon Light sits within 10 metres of Loch Eport and and has spectacular views from all rooms.
Beacon Light Extension which is Granite and Glass is a large new house joined by a glass and granite corridor started in 2017 and finished 2020
